Police to provide update on Mississauga restaurant bombing that injured 15

Police arenât ruling out that one of the two suspects in the explosion at a Mississauga restaurant last week was a woman.
Peel Region police Supt. Rob Ryan said at a news conference Tuesday that while they initially thought that both suspects were male, they are looking into the possibility that one of the bombers could be a woman.
Thatâs based on the evidence from witnesses, as well as area surveillance video, Ryan told reporters.
Investigators are now analyzing evidence gathered from the Bombay Bhel restaurant, and have confirmed that the improved explosive device was homemade.
âWhatever was put in that may be lying around the home,â Supt. Ryan said. âWeâre hoping science can help identify what itâs made of.âArticle Continued Below
Police are still unclear on the motive for the bombing and no one is claiming responsibility.
âWe know there are people who know who did this, and its time for them to come forward,â Ryan said.
Police said there were approximately 30 people in the restaurant at the time of the explosion, and they have spoken to all of them.
Fifteen people were were injured in the Thursday night bombing, but all have since been released from hospital.
The first suspect is described as 5â10â to 6â, with a stocky build, dark pants and a dark hoodie, a baseball cap, and a dark material covering their face.
The second suspect is described as 5â10â to 6â, with a medium build, blue jeans, a dark hoodie over their head, and their face covered with a dark material.

Investigators allege two suspects detonated an improvised explosive device in the restaurant before fleeing east on foot and then jumping into an unidentified vehicle.
Police said investigators wrapped up their work at the Bombay Bhel restaurant Sunday night, but management says the restaurant will be closed until further notice.
